Tiger Museum - Acquisitions

Recent Museum Acquisitions October 2005

The following items from Wayne Campbell are on loan to the museum.

  • Four Jack Dyer Medals for Best and Fairest (1995, 1997, 1999, 2002).
  • Three Jack Titus Medals for Second Best and Fairest (1992, 1993, 2001).
  • Maurie Fleming Medal for Third Best and Fairest (1998).
  • The No. 46 guernsey Wayne wore in his first game in 1991.
  • The No. 29 Victorian guernsey Wayne wore in 1995.
  • Two Victorian blazers and ties.
  • Australian 1998 Tour of Ireland blazer and tie.
  • No. 9 guernsey, shorts and socks worn by Wayne in his last game for the Tigers (Geelong v Richmond, Sunday, August 28, 2005).
  • The Sherrin football used in Wayne’s last senior game (Geelong v Richmond, Sunday, August 28, 2005). The ball has been signed by all the players and coaches who participated in that game.

April 2005

The following items have been donated to the museum by Russell and Tony Hall, son and grandson of former Richmond captain and premiership player, Clarrie Hall.

  • Framed photograph of Richmond’s famous ruck line of the 1920’s, Clarrie Hall, Barney Herbert and Dave Moffatt.
  • Framed photograph of the 1920 Victorian team.
  • Framed photograph of Richmond’s Victorian players, Bob Carew, Vic Thorp, Max Hislop and Clarrie Hall.
  • Framed photograph of Richmond’s 1924 team with trainers.
  • Framed photograph of Richmond’s 1924 team with the Richmond Committee.
  • Card-style photograph with cameo photographs of the Richmond players from the 1920 – 21 teams.
  • The above items are on display in the Richmond Museum.

The Museum is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm, and on special event days at Punt Road Oval, such as Family Day, and before Richmond games at the MCG.

Wish List

To complete sections of our collection we are seeking:-

  • Football Records: Richmond games only from 1950 to 1970.
  • Scrap Books: Richmond articles and games, from 1950 to 1966.
