AFL Fantasy

Richo’s Racers scored 1986 points this week.  I am inching closer to that 2000 mark!

I kept Gary Ablett as my captain this week, and to be honest, I don’t think I’ll be moving him anytime soon. Even in a 100-point loss, he still racked up 132 points.

As much as I didn’t like seeing the Tigers go down to Collingwood on Friday night, I have to admit Collingwood had some classy players, especially when it comes to Fantasy scores. Scott Pendlebury (109) and Dayne Beams (131) were both impressive, and I brought in Alex Fasolo at the last minute and wasn’t too disappointed with his score of 71.

I’m now moving on to the task of getting ready for the upcoming byes, which is probably something I should have factored in at the start of the season …. I have 13 players with the bye in Round 8! I think I might be in for a lean round if I don’t get smart really quickly.

As far as the Richmond fan league goes, I am currently ranked 14th – ‘Laurie A’ and his team ‘Wire Paladin’ is dominating in first place with a score of 2227! Any tips for me Laurie?

Superboot

It looks like I peaked in Round 1 of Superboot – I’m still hanging onto the memory of being top of the leaderboard, even if it was only for a few days.

I have slipped down to 48th ranking overall after I went with Nick Riewoldt this week. He ended up with two goals, which just isn’t enough to keep you at the top in this game. I was tossing up between him and Hawkins – turns out I should have gone with Hawkins, who kicked three.

Those of you who picked Jay Schulz would be pretty happy – he kicked seven all up for the round. I was thinking about Schulz, but I had already picked Roughead against Brisbane in Round 1, and I want to spread out my opponents a bit.

If you join Superboot before Round 5 (this weekend), you’ll be credited with two goals per round – so still plenty of time to get into it!

Good luck for Round 5!
