Richmond captain Trent Cotchin’s top-class performance against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium last Saturday earned him a perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year voting for Round 15.

Respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Alan Richardson (St Kilda) awarded Cotchin 10 votes for his 31 disposal, five-goal game, which was the catalyst for the Tigers’ 44-point win.

It was the second time this season Cotchin has received maximum votes in the AFLCA award.  He previously picked up the 10 in Richmond’s Round 5 victory over Brisbane at the Gabba.

Cotchin, who won the prestigious coaches award in 2012, now has 35 votes this season, which is the most by any Tiger player.  He’s three votes ahead of Dustin Martin on 31, with Brandon Ellis next on 25.

The Tigers’ other Round 15 vote-getters were Ellis (eight), Alex Rance (six) and Anthony Miles (four).
