Richmond players Bachar Houli and Daniel Jackson, and CEO Brendon Gale, feature in AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD, a feature documentary, released this month, which brings the game of AFL to the world.

Filmed in 20 countries, AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD is a sports travel film with huge appeal to all footy fans, sports fans and families who want to catch a glimpse of a revolution as Australian football goes international.

The film looks at the fierce competition Australian Football is facing from sporting codes across the world; vying for audiences, players and the media dollar.

The film reveals how the Australian football league is looking beyond Australian shores to help the game last another 150 years.

AUSSIE RULES THE WORLD releases nationally this July, with special red carpet premiere events scheduled to take place around Australia, including Melbourne’s Village Crown on Wednesday, July 23 at 7pm.

The film was made by Second Nature Films, is directed by Michael Stringer McIntyre and narrated by David Wenham.

It also features football legends Brett Kirk, the AFL’s International Ambassador and the former co-captain of the Sydney Swans; Adam Goodes, dual Brownlow medallist and 2014 Australian of the Year, Andrew Demetriou, Mike Sheahan, Martin Flanagan and Eddie McGuire.
