Richmond’s VFL outfit will be looking for a positive start to the season when it takes on Coburg in Round 1 this Saturday.

The Tigers’ opening round squad is a blend of youth and experience, highlighted by the inclusions of Nathan Foley, Ty Vickery, Matt Thomas and Shaun Hampson.

Foley and Thomas returned to the playing field in last week’s practice match against Footscray, after recovering from injuries.

This weekend’s match also marks the return of Richmond-listed defender Matt Dea, who has recovered from a hamstring injury.

There will also be plenty of up-and-coming talent on display, with recent National Draft picks Corey Ellis, Connor Menadue, Nathan Drummond and Reece McKenzie named in the side.

Richmond’s VFL Twitter page will provide live, rolling coverage of the game on Saturday.
