Clever Richmond playmaker Shane Edwards has scored a perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches Association’s votes for the Round 9 ‘Dreamtime at the ‘G’ clash with Essendon.

Edwards received 10 votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and James Hird (Essendon) for his classy display in the Tigers’ 13-point win last Saturday night.  He had 25 disposals, including a game-high 16 contested possessions, an equal-team high eight score involvements, a team-high seven inside-50s and seven marks.

Rising Richmond star Brandon Ellis collected eight votes after finishing with a game-high 33 disposals, including 13 contested possessions, a team-high seven rebound-50s, an equal-team high six interceptions, five clearances, plus eight marks.

Tiger dynamo Dustin Martin was given six votes for an impressive 25-disposal display that included 11 contested possessions, four inside-50s, three clearances and seven marks.

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin was the other Tiger vote-getter, picking up four votes for his valuable contribution of 24 disposals, including 14 contested possessions, six clearances, four inside-50s and two crucial first-quarter goals.
