Richmond captain Trent Cotchin has moved into the top 10 in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year Award after 14 rounds.

Cotchin scored a perfect 10 from coaches Damien Hardwick and Leon Cameron for his performance in the Tigers’ win over GWS last Saturday.

He is currently in a share of ninth position with 44 votes, 56 votes behind runaway leader, Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe.

Cotchin also scored seven votes for his 27-disposal game against a Sydney in Round 13.

Midfielder Shane Edwards and defender Bachar Houli each received four votes for their efforts against the Giants, while Shaun Grigg was awarded three votes for his job on Callum Ward.
