Key Richmond ruckman Ivan Maric is one of 16 AFL-listed players who will line-up for the Club’s VFL side in its second-round match against Footscray at Punt Road Oval on Saturday.

Maric made his playing return via the VFL last week and will gain more match fitness on Saturday as he overcomes a back complaint.

The VFL Tigers also welcome midfielders Anthony Miles and Jacob Townsend and small forward Jayden Short for Saturday’s second-round clash against the Bulldogs at Punt Road Oval.

Richmond’s VFL side put up a strong fight against reigning premier Williamstown in last weekend’s opening round but ultimately went down by 45 points.

Led by captain Sam Darley, the VFL Tigers will set out to get on the winners’ list when they host the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Tom Couch and Adam Marcon were also impressive in the opening round, while Jason Castagna, Liam McBean and Couch bagged two goals each.

Footscray brings strong form into the clash, having beaten the Northern Blues by 49 points in Round 1.
