Speedy, skilful youngster Connor Menadue provides ‘Roar Vision’ with an assessment of his second season of league football with Richmond . . .

A mixed bag

“There were ups and downs.  I had a good patch in the AFL and then went back to the VFL for a little bit . . . In and out, but I think it’s a good stepping-stone for next year.”

Growing confidence

“You definitely feel more comfortable playing more games, and also understanding the game plan more and feeling more confident.”

Areas of focus

“Obviously I’m continuing to work on my size . . . And I’m working on the contested side of the game, and also just using my strengths more and being more confident with taking the game on.  I think that will come just with playing the game more at the level.”

Little things mean a lot

“I think I learned just little things can help a lot, whether that’s before training, or after training, doing extra work with a few of the guys, and just seeing coaches and how you can improve your game.  I think it’s just the little things that can make big differences in games.”

Looking forward

“It’s going to be a big off-season/pre-season with me. I know myself and the coaches have high expectations for me next year.  I’m excited for next year.”
