A towering grab by Ben Griffiths, in Richmond’s Round 12 win against Gold Coast at the MCG, has been voted the Tigers’ third best mark of season 2016 by Yellow and Black barrackers.

Fellow Tiger tall forward Ty Vickery had a set shot for goal from the boundary line just inside the forward-50 at the Punt Road end of the ground, but his kick drifted across the big sticks, to where two big Gold Coast players were poised to intercept.

Griffiths, however, had other ideas, propelling himself skywards to pluck a superb mark above the stunned Suns’ duo.

He then capped off his impressive work by coolly slotting through an inspirational goal from a tight angle.

The second mark of the year, as voted by Richmond fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Thursday September 22.
