The importance of midfield recruits Dion Prestia and Josh Caddy to the Richmond line-up has been highlighted by their Tiger teammate Kane Lambert.

Prestia and Caddy, who will both reach the AFL 100-game milestone in next Monday night’s big Anzac Day Eve clash with Melbourne at the MCG, have been valuable contributors throughout the Tigers’ unbeaten run over the opening month of the 2017 season.

But it’s not just their on-field feats that have impressed Lambert.

“They’ve been fantastic,” Lambert told ‘ABC Grandstand’.

“The little things they do we don’t see out on the ground. Just the way they prepare themselves, and the little things they do pre-training.

“They prepare for training like they’re playing the game . . .

“That brings a really good, strong culture around the place, and the young boys jump on board.

“And their leadership . . . Prestia’s a fantastic leader and Caddy, as well.

“Them being able to come inside (midfield) releases ‘Cotch’ (Trent Cotchin) and ‘Dusty’ (Dustin Martin) to get forward.

“They’ve been two massive recruits for the footy club and we’re looking for them to continue their form.”
