Valuable Richmond veteran midfielder Shaun Grigg has proffered his opinion of two emerging young Tigers, who are yet to get a taste of senior league football – Ryan Garthwaite and Tyson Stengle. Speaking on this week’s edition of ‘Talking Tigers’, here is what Grigg had to say about the promising pair.

Be there this Sunday afternoon when we host the Blues at the MCG

On Ryan Garthwaite

“I think ‘Garthy’ has put on about nine or 10 kilos since he’s been here. His work ethic is amazing. He’s always around the Club. On his day off, he’s in . . . he just loves being around the boys. He’s a real country boy and he’s fitted in and is going to be a good player.”

On Tyson Stengle

“He’s been promoted, so he’s on the edge of playing, probably. He played another good game in the VFL last Saturday night (against Geelong) . . . He’s another pressure (small) forward, and a cousin of Eddie Betts . . . looks similar plays similar. There’s a bit of cheek about him off-field. He’s a ripper.”
