The VFL Tigers have named an unchanged squad to face Box Hill in Saturday's blockbuster preliminary final.

Craig McRae has put faith in the charges that put Casey to the sword, including 23rd man Shaun Mannagh, whose two goals in the final quarter against the Demons proved critical to the Tiger triumph.

Richmond development and VFL midfield coach Xavier Clarke told richmondfc.com.au on Thursday that spirits were high ahead of the clash.

“The boys are up and about, obviously, with both sides playing in prelim finals,” Clarke said.

“It's a pretty good spot to be in at the moment.”

While the VFL Tigers’ most recent hit-out was only a week ago, Box Hill come off a week's rest after winning their qualifying final against Port Melbourne.

Before this, the most recent clash between the VFL Hawks and Tigers came in Round 5, when Box Hill ran out 22-point winners.

“The last time we played, they really hurt us,” Clarke said.

“They got on top of us around the ground, so we'll have a look at that and see how we can get the ball on our terms.”

The preliminary final on Saturday will commence at 2:40pm at North Port Oval.
