The evenness of Richmond’s performance during the 2017 finals series is highlighted through a list of its September goalkickers.

Richmond scored a total of 44 goals in its three finals wins (13 v Geelong, qualifying final, 15 v GWS, preliminary final, and 16 v Adelaide, Grand Final), with 15 different goalkickers.

Dustin Martin and Jacob Townsend were equal first on the Tigers’ 2017 finals goalkicking table, with five apiece, followed by Dan Butler, Josh Caddy, Jack Riewoldt and Daniel Rioli on four each.

Rioli’s four goals against the Giants in the preliminary final was the highest individual Tiger tally for a match in September ‘17.

From an overall season goalkicking perspective, Richmond had six players that scored 20-plus goals – Riewoldt 54, Martin 37, Butler 30, Castagna 26, Rioli 25 and Caddy 21. Townsend finished with 16 from his five games (the last five of the season).
