Richmond set a new winning streak record against traditional rival Carlton in last Thursday night’s 2018 season-opener at the MCG.

It was the Tigers’ seventh successive victory over the Blues, beating the previous record of six from 1965-1968.

The last time Richmond lost to Carlton was in the 2013 elimination final.

Six players have featured in each of the Tigers’ past seven wins against the Blues – Trent Cotchin, Shane Edwards, Brandon Ellis, Dylan Grimes, Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt.
