Other Tiger-related tidbits: Richmond won the 1969 and 1973 Championship of Australia end-of-season series (played between the premiership teams of the Victorian Football League, South Australian National Football League, Western Australian Football League and Tasmanian Football League) at the venue. The Tigers defeated Sturt in the 1969 final – 15.27 (117) to 9.10 (64) with Eric Moore kicking five goals.
