Richmond Football Club will once again be involved in this weekend's Midsumma Festival, Victoria’s leading LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural festival.

Richmond became the first AFL club to sponsor the Midsumma Festival last year, highlighting the Club’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Held each summer, the month-long festival delivers support to artists and culture-makers from its communities.

On Sunday at the ‘Midsumma Carnival’, the opening day of festivities held at Alexandra Gardens, festival-goers can visit the Richmond stall in the ‘Sports Precinct’.

There, revellers can meet Richmond's mascots Stripes and Sash, enter competitions, and participate in football activities from 11.00am until 6.00pm.

At 1.00pm, fans can pick the brains of Richmond Women’s players, who will be representing the Club in a Q&A session.

Richmond’s involvement at the Midsumma Festival is supported by the Golden Tigers, an LGBTQI supporter group dedicated to ensuring a safe experience for Richmond fans attending the football.

The Club will continue its support of the Midsumma Festival by also having a presence at the Pride March on Sunday, February 3.
