Richmond's Mark Coughlan will play his ninth game of 2009 against West Coast on Friday night

MARK Coughlan is back in Richmond's team to play West Coast in his native Perth on Friday night.
He has been joined by tall defender Jarrod Silvester, as they replace injured skipper Chris Newman and Will Thursfield.
Newman has a knee injury, while Thursfield damaged a shoulder when he was tackled in last weekend's loss to Hawthorn.
Richmond football manager Ross Monaghan told richmondfc.com.au that Coughlan always played well at Subiaco Oval.
"Cogs was one of the highest possession-getters last week with Coburg last week, as he normally is when he plays at that level, so he's earned a spot to cover Newey," he said.
"The game being in Perth certainly makes a difference – he always gets the best out of himself, but it's obviously a special moment for him whenever he plays over here."
Silvester has played four games this season since his elevation form the rookie list for the round 13 clash with St Kilda.
"Jarrod's form has been good – he played senior footy, then missed a week with an ankle, and he's recovered from that. He's right to go and he played really well at Coburg last week against Preston," Monaghan said.
"Will's having surgery on Monday – I'm not sure how long it'll take him to recover form that, but he should be right by the start of summer training.
"Chris has what would have been about a one-week injury."
With both Newman and deputy Nathan Foley out of the side, Brett Deledio will act as captain.
