In his seventh year at the club, the speedy wingman played only two AFL games in the first part of the 2012 season, spending the rest of the time trying to impress with the Coburg Tigers in the VFL. He fought his way back into the Richmond line-up late in the year, playing five games between rounds 15 and 22. Won plenty of the ball and did enough to win a new contract.
