The tough, inside midfielder finally got a reasonable run with injury – albeit on a modified program – and performed accordingly.

Although he still missed five games, four of those were via a late-season suspension and, in between, he was third at Richmond in clearances (12th in the AFL), fourth in contested possessions (15th in the AFL) and seventh in the best and fairest.
