GARY MARCH (President)

Gary
March was appointed President in November 2005. Mr March was appointed to the board on 1 October 2002, and holds an ex officio position on all board sub-committees. Mr March is a Director of Hopgreen Pty Ltd, Hopgreen UK Ltd, MAK Retail Ltd and GMPC Pty Ltd.




     






MAURICE O'SHANNASSY (Vice President)

Maurice O’Shannassy has been a Director of the company since 22 December 2004. Mr O’Shannassy is a member of the Finance Sub-Committee and is also the Managing Director for Black Rock Investment Management (Australia) Ltd (formerly Merrill Lynch Investment Managers).


 
     
CARL WALSH
Carl Walsh is a lawyer by education and a chartered accountant by profession, with over 18 years experience as a business leader both domestically (nine years in Australia) and internationally (Ireland, Luxembourg, Russia and US).
Carl has extensive knowledge of the financial services sector and previously held leadership roles in companies such as Deloitte, Microsoft and General Electric. He was recently appointed to the Melbourne Community Foundation's Advisory Board and has played top level sport, having represented Country Clare in Gaelic Football.


     

MALCOLM SPEED

Malcolm Speed has a background in law and is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading sports’ administrators. In 1997, he was appointed chief executive of Cricket Australia. Then, in 2001, he was appointed chief executive of the International Cricket Council, a position he held up until 2008.
Malcolm now works as a consultant, company director and university lecturer. Among his current roles, he acts as executive director of the Coalition of Major Professional and Participation Sports (COMPPS).

     
JOHN MATTHIES
John Matthies was appointed to the board on 29 January 2004. Mr Matthies is a member of the Audit and Risk and Centenary Sub-Committees. Mr Matthies holds the position of Senior Partner of law firm John Matthies & Co Solicitors.

     
ROB DALTON
Robert Dalton was appointed to the board on 9 November 2004. Mr Dalton is a member of the Audit and Risk Sub-Committee. Mr Dalton is a Senior Partner at Ernst & Young.

     
PEGGY HAINES
Peggy Haines joined the board on 12 November 2005.  She is presently chair of the Risk and Compliance Sub-Committee and a member of the Finance Sub-Committee.  Peggy is also a director of the Tigers in Community Foundation Limited.  She is a lawyer and acts as a consultant to Lander & Rogers law firm, having stepped down as a partner of Freehills in 2009.  She is also on the board of a number of entities in the financial sector and has been a consultant to the federal government during its review of the superannuation system.  Peggy became a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2008.

     
TONY FREE
Tony Free is a Life Member and former captain of the Richmond Football Club. Mr Free was appointed as a Director on 10 June 2008.




     


REX CHADWICK
Rex Chadwick was appointed to the board on 16 December, 2009.
Rex is a member of the Innovation & Development Sub-Committee and is involved with the club’s Commercial Operations.
He has a background in advertising and is Managing Director of Chadwick Merchandising Services Pty. Ltd.
