Richmond AFLW has launched the upcoming season with a bold content shoot at an iconic Melbourne venue.

Building on the I am W campaign, the shoot at Hotel Esplanade in St Kilda brought some of Richmond’s brightest AFLW stars together to showcase their personalities and fierce readiness for the league’s advanced mid-year start, set to commence next weekend.

The Tigers have built steadily across three years in the AFLW, assembling a formidable list and style of play on an upward trajectory.

Star midfielder Monique Conti who was a part of the shoot, said it represented the Club hoping to break new ground in Season 7.

“This shoot was a chance for us to show our personalities and have a bit of fun, it was cool and something we have never done before,” she added.

“Finals is definitely a goal; we are putting in a lot of hard work at the Club to make sure we give ourselves the best chance to achieve a new level.”

Defender Jess Hosking added that the Club was building a culture players wanted to be around.

“We have built something that has meant we have retained a lot of our playing list. People want to stay, which can only be good.”

The shoot was styled by the AFLW’s official apparel partner Cotton On and Richmond footwear partner PUMA.

The I am W campaign represents Richmond Women’s players as their authentic, driven, and fiercely determined selves.

Richmond is expected to enter its Round 1 clash against Geelong on August 28 with a full bill of health.

The Tigers registered comfortable victories in their two practice matches against Fremantle and Hawthorn.
