Three Richmond stars figured prominently in the AFL Players’ Top 50 poll for 2018.

Brilliant midfielder and reigning Brownlow Medallist Dustin Martin was voted by his peers as the No. 1 player in the competition, while outstanding key defender Alex Rance came in at No. 6, with the Tigers’ inspirational captain Trent Cotchin at No. 23.

Martin rocketed from No. 12 the previous year, Rance rose from No. 10 and Cotchin climbed from No. 48.

Richmond had the equal fifth most number of players in the prestigious top 50 poll. Greater Western Sydney had the most, with six players included, while Port Adelaide, Western Bulldogs, St Kilda and North Melbourne had the equal least, with one apiece.
