Damien Hardwick has confirmed Jacob Townsend, along with last week's debutant Liam Baker, will hold their spots in Friday night’s clash with Geelong, despite Callum Moore, who was omitted last week, returning to the VFL and kicking five goals.

“He’s done it (kick five goals) both times I’ve put him out of the side, I just hoped the guy we brought in, which was Towner, did a good job and he did,” Hardwick said

“We’ll stick with ‘Towner’ this week, we’re really happy with what he does with and without the ball.

“Cal’s working on some things in his game, that once again are really important to the way we want to play, he’s certainly got some ability that kid.”

Dion Prestia will miss with a fractured rib, however Hardwick couldn’t confirm a like-for-like swap with hard-nut Anthony Miles, who trained with the squad of 26 on Thursday.

"He's in the squad, once again we'll see how training goes and after that, but last week was his first game back from a week or two off (with a concussion suffered in the VFL).

"What we know we'll get from Milesy is a huge contest if he comes in and plays. It's certainly part of the equation for us, to figure out who that is, but we'll see how that pans out this afternoon."

Others to train with the senior squad who did not play last week were key back Ryan Garthwaite, running defender Corey Ellis, winger Connor Menadue and first-year player Patrick Naish, who Hardwick suggested was unlikely to play.
