Richmond has made three changes to its line-up for Thursday night’s Round 13 clash with Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

With captain Trent Cotchin, and previous acting captain Shane Edwards, sidelined through injury, premiership star Dustin Martin will captain the side for the first time in his 212 games.

Cotchin and Edwards will miss the game with hamstring soreness and hamstring tendonitis respectively, while Jacob Townsend has been omitted.

The Tigers will regain the services of hard-running Brandon Ellis, who returns to the side after missing last Friday night’s loss to Geelong with a groin complaint.

Richmond has also recalled defensive duo Nathan Broad and Connor Menadue for the Crows match, after they both impacted at VFL level last weekend.

Richmond’s emergencies for the Adelaide game are Maverick Weller, Derek Eggmolese-Smith and Shai Bolton.

Ruckman Ivan Soldo, who was originally listed in the Round 13 side, is a late withdrawal through illness, with Mabior Chol replacing him. It will be Chol's first AFL game since Round 23, 2016, and his second overall.

Thursday night’s match at Adelaide Oval will kick off at 7.20 ACST.
