Big winning streaks have been a key feature of Richmond’s performance during Damien Hardwick’s decade-long coaching reign.

The 12 consecutive wins this year, culminating in the tremendous 2019 Grand triumph over Greater Western Sydney, is No. 1 on the Tigers’ victory-sequence list under Hardwick.

There have, however, been several other prominent winning runs throughout Hardwick’s tenure at Tigerland, extending all the way back to his 2010 debut season as coach.

Here’s the list of four or more Hardwick-coached Tiger wins on-the-trot . . .

12 – Round 15-Grand Final, 2019

9 – Round 15-Round 23, 2014

7 – Round 18-qualifying final, 2018

6 – Round 3-Round 8, 2018

5 – Round 1-Round 5, 2017

5 – Round 22-Grand Final, 2017

4 – Round 17-Round 20, 2017

4 – Round 7-Round 10, 2015

4 – Round 13-Round 16, 2015

4 – Round 20-23, 2015

4 – Round 10-Round 14 (bye Round 11), 2013

4 – Round 12-Round 15, 2010

There also was the competition’s all-time winning streak at the MCG of 22 games, which Richmond established from Round 14 of the 2017 season against Carlton until the 2018 qualifying final against Hawthorn – a particularly impressive achievement.

And here’s how the Tigers’ overall 12-game winning run in 2019 compares with that of other powerful premiership teams over the past quarter-century . . .

20 – Essendon, Round 1-Round 20, 2000

16 – Carlton, Round 10-Grand Final, 1995

16 – Brisbane, Round 10-Grand Final, 2001

15 – Geelong, Round 6-Round 20, 2007
