Tiger Army, take care of yourselves and one another.

AFLW and AFL Season Lockout

The AFL has suspended the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership season and cancelled the remainder of the 2020 NAB AFLW season. What does this mean?

Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the threat of further spread of the virus, the AFL has suspended the AFL season until May 31.

The AFL will review the situation at the end of April and the League will receive ongoing medical advice to determine whether the suspension period will be extended further.

The remainder of the AFLW competition was also abandoned, with no premier to be crowned in 2020.

The Club will make every attempt to keep our members and fans updated during the suspension period. The Club will share all the latest news and updates on our website and the official club app.

The AFL has announced the 2020 season will be reduced to 17 games, with all teams to play each other once. What are the Club’s thoughts on this?

As a Club, our number one priority is to support all efforts to reduce the impact of this significant threat to public health. We support the decision taken by the AFL as it gives us the best chance to do that, while also preserving the 2020 AFL season, albeit in a different format.

What measures is the Club taking at Swinburne Centre to keep the players safe?

The health of our players, staff and wider community is our utmost priority and we have taken significant steps to ensure we continue to protect one another as best we can.

Swinburne Centre is now closed to external visitors, administration staff are working remotely and players will not be training at the venue for the time being.

I want to show my support for the team & cheer them on. How can I do this?

The Tiger Army is the lifeblood of our Club and we love to stay connected with our members and fans as much as possible. We will be sharing content on our Club website and social media via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & TikTok to keep you connected.

Show us your support using #FromTigerland.

How can I help prevent any further impact or spread of COVID-19?

The Club asks all fans to heed the warnings of health officials. This issue requires a united effort across the country and we know all citizens of Tigerland will play their part.

We can all help to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect one another through the practise of good hygiene and continuing healthy lifestyle habits. We encourage everyone to stay up to date with the latest information published by the Australian Government Department of Health at www.health.gov.au.

Richmond Memberships

I am a Richmond member with AFL game access, what will happen to my membership?

We are still working to understand what the full impact COVID-19 will have on the Club and our membership program and are working diligently to determine the next course of action.

Once confirmed, the Richmond Membership team will communicate this process to our valued members.

I was planning on collecting my member cap or scarf at round 1, how can I get one now?

As we hope that our members and fans will be able to return to games later in the season, we are still planning on setting up collection points should future rounds open to public.

We are currently unable to send members their caps or scarves and thank you for your understanding during this time. We will continue to consider ways in which members will be able to collect their 2020 member item as the year progresses and will ensure we keep all members updated with the latest information.

I am a Committed Tiger payment plan member and pay my membership off monthly, what happens now?

Monthly payments will continue to be processed on the 1st business day of each month. To ensure you are best placed to make the most of your membership should the game access resume, we recommend that members remain on the Committed Tiger payment plan if possible.

Can I speak to someone at the Club about my membership, tickets or game access?

We understand our members and fans may have a lot of questions regarding the current situation and thank you for your understanding and patience as we aim to share as much information as possible as things progress.

We ask that you understand that our staff may not be able to provide all the answers to your questions right now and recommend that you follow our updates via email, Club website and the official Club app to keep up to date with the latest news.

Our Richmond Membership team is on hand to assist with further queries the best they can and can be reached at membership@richmondfc.com.au.

I want to help the Club, what can I do?

The COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented time for all Australians and, as a Club and League, we are still navigating the constant challenges it presents.

We are still working to understand the full impact this will have on the Club’s long-term operations and ensuring our Club can continue to provide an elite environment for our players, coaches and staff.

Our Fighting Tiger Fund: Scratch 2 Win program plays a vital role in building the Club’s Strong & Bold future. Donations through this initiative provides direct support to our five elite teams across our Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair football program.

Supporters can also shop online at the Club’s official merchandise retailer, the Tigerland Superstore. Shopping at the Tigerland Superstore ensures that all profits from purchases go directly back to the Club.
