Matthew Richardson gives Tiger fans an update on his AFL Fantasy teams and Superboot selections after Round 15.

AFL Fantasy

It wasn’t a bad week for Richo’s Racers! I was seeing all over Twitter that people were bringing in scores of 2300 and in some cases 2400 – I wasn’t quite up to those heights, but I was really pleased with my team’s performance.

My midfielders were just sublime this week. Gary Ablett had 157 points, Pearce Hanley 133, Sam Jacobs 119, Scott Pendlebury 128, Patty Dangerfield 113 and Tommy Rockliff 122 – it was a very nice round for the middle men.

This week marks the second week of position adjustments, with new players being given dual position status – so time to get our trading hats on and make some new moves. I’ll be keeping an eye out on Thursday morning to see who is making the shift!

In the Richmond Fan League, Asif and “Nonproductive” held on to first place in the overall ranking with a massive score of 2439, but amazingly, he wasn’t the round winner! Both Stephen L and “Scorgasm”, and William L’s “There’sAWillThere’sAWay”, had higher scores. Great work there fellas.

All the best for Round 16.

Superboot

This week hurt me in Superboot.

I’ve been watching which teams I still need to use in Superboot, because now that we’re into the back end of the season, you need to keep on top of which opponents you’ve already had.

I’ve made up quite the spreadsheet to keep track of everything.

This week I went with Troy Menzel from Carlton. He kicked a couple in recent weeks against both Geelong and Hawthorn, and kicked three against GWS last round. Plus, I didn’t think many others would pick him. Turns out that “many others” were probably more on the money than I was – young Troy only managed one against the Pies on Sunday night.

As a consequence, I’ve now dropped six places in the rankings.

Oh well – as they say in football, there’s always next week. July rounds start from Round 16, so jump on board and sign up to win some great monthly prizes!
