Richmond will pay tribute to Club ‘Immortal’ Tommy Hafey in a pre-game tribute before the first bounce of Saturday’s match against Melbourne at the MCG.

As part of the tribute, Tommy’s family, and players from the four Richmond premiership teams he coached, will walk onto the MCG before the game to honour his enormous contribution to Richmond, and the broader football community.

All fans in attendance at the game will also be invited to pay their respects by joining in a minute’s applause along with Tommy’s family, the Richmond premiership heroes, and the players from Saturday’s competing teams, to celebrate Tommy’s life.

Fans are advised to be seated at the MCG by 1.30pm (game starts at 1.40pm) to view and participate in the pre-match tribute.

Richmond players will also pay tribute to Tommy in a special way at the team’s open training session at the ME Bank Centre on Friday at 9.45am.

Fans are encouraged to attend the training session, at which the Club will serve hot cups of tea, which was Tommy’s drink of choice.
