With five rounds to go in the VFLW season clubs have submitted their final list changes for phase two of the competition.

In a welcome boost for Port Melbourne, Richmond’s VFLW affiliate, some of the Tigers’ top-line talent could feature in the back end of the season.

The Borough has already seen Sophie Molan, Sabrina Frederick, Laura McClelland, Hannah McLaren, Sarah Sansonetti, and Alice Edmonds turn out this season.

Headlining the extended squad is No. 1 draft pick Ellie McKenzie and All Australian centre half-forward Katie Brennan.

Youngsters Maddy Brancatisano and Kodi Jacques will also join Port, as will experienced defender Harriet Cordner and wings Hannah Burchell and Kate Dempsey.

Tall utilities Gabby Seymour and Rebecca Miller are also set for VFLW game time.

Young midfielder Sarah Dargan has been plying her trade for SANFLW club West Adelaide already this season, where she will remain for the rest of the year.

Port Melbourne has had an excellent debut VFLW campaign and is currently sitting third on the VFLW ladder with eight wins and two losses.

However, one of those losses came on the weekend, with the Southern Saints bursting out of the blocks early and holding on for a 27-point victory.

Hannah McLaren gathered 21 touches to continue her strong form across eight games this season, while Maddy Brancatisano (17) made an impressive debut for the Borough.

Laura McClelland and Sarah Sansonetti also had strong games, continuing their solid form in the red and blue.

Fellow 2019 draftee and AFLW regular Sophie Molan gathered 12 touches after picking up 20 in her debut game for Port Melbourne a week earlier.

Port Melbourne hosts Collingwood at ETU Stadium on Saturday with the match commencing at 10.45am.
