Richmond VFL has named its line-up for Saturday's meeting with Sandringham at Trevor Barker Beach Oval. 

The Tigers will be boosted by the inclusion of midfielder Josh Caddy, who comes in for his fourth VFL game of the year. 

Caddy has averaged 29 disposals and six marks per game at VFL level in 2021, highlighted by a 38-disposal, two-goal performance against the Lions in Round 6.

VFL-listed duo Brad Melville and Bailey Henderson have also been recalled for the clash with the Zebras.

Out of the side who drew with Williamstown last Sunday is Samson Ryan, who will make his AFL debut on Friday night against St Kilda, Marlion Pickett, who has also been named to play in the Saints match, and Bigoa Nyuon.

Daniel Rioli will play another week at VFL level as the Tigers trial him in a new role at half-back.

Richmond senior coach Damien Hardwick said on Thursday it was an "exciting" opportunity for the triple premiership Tiger. 

"The game consistently challenges us to change, so Daniel's got to change with it," Hardwick said.

"We're excited about the prospect of what he could become behind the ball.

"He can run, he can kick it, he can dispose of it really well, so it's going to be one step back to take two steps forward."

Mid-season draftee Matthew Parker will play his second game for the Club this Saturday against the Zebras.

The 25-year-old produced a standout first VFL outing last weekend which included 19 disposals, seven marks, 11 tackles and nine inside-50s. 

Saturday will mark the second clash between Richmond and Sandringham this year, after the Tigers opened the 2021 season with a 40-point win over the Zebras at Punt Road Oval in April. 

Crowds will be welcomed back to the VFL in Victoria this weekend with strict capacity limits enforced, with a maximum venue capacity of 300 people per indoor space and 1,000 people outdoors (density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm).
