Player Bio

It was a rollercoaster year for the premiership defender who was dropped after round five over concerns about his contested ball and aerial ability.

Worked on his deficiencies in the VFL before being recalled in round 10. The hard-running half-back, who can lock down on a forward or provide defensive drive, suffered more selection heartbreak when omitted for Kane Lambert in the qualifying final and wasn’t recalled for the preliminary final.

Is contracted until the end of 2019.

Player honours: 2nd best and fairest 2014; All-Australian nominee 2014; NAB AFL Rising Star nominee 2012; premiership side 2017.
Brownlow Medal: career votes 25.
Draft history: 2011 NAB AFL Draft 1st round selection (Richmond) No. 15 overall.
