FIND OUT MORE

The Laguntas Dance is a celebration that pays respect to the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Richmond Football Club is located, the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nations.

Drawing inspiration from previous Dreamtime celebration dances, the Laguntas dance is a collective expression of culture.
The dance commences with a call to Country, which grounds our dancers and acknowledges land, sea and people.

The name Lagunta, which translates to Tiger, was adopted by the Korin Gamadji Institute, and is used across Indigenous youth football and netball programs.

In sharing this dance with the community, we hope that you will join us in celebrating and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Ahead of the coin toss, Richmond and Essendon will partake in a cultural exchange of gifts.

¼ time

This Saturday nib is giving one lucky Tiger fan the chance to kick and win not $500 but a quintupled amount of $2500 CASH at this week's game with the nib Health Kick to Win. Terms and conditions apply, see website for details.

Post-game
