The Tiger Army will have a chance to farewell a host of premiership stars prior to Sunday’s match at the MCG against Hawthorn.

Former premiership stars Kane Lambert, Bachar Houli and Josh Caddy will commence a lap of honour from 12.40pm on Sunday, to acknowledge their outstanding contributions to Richmond.

Caddy and Lambert called time on their magnificent careers this year, while Houli finished at the conclusion of the Covid-19 affected 2021 season.

Houli played 232 AFL matches, including 206 at Richmond, where he arrived via the pre-season draft prior to the 2011 season, after four years and 26 games with Essendon.

The 33-year-old produced three memorable Grand Final performances in each of his premiership victories, finishing runner-up to Dustin Martin for the Norm Smith Medal in both the 2017 and 2019 triumphs and courageously battling through the 2020 decider despite injury.

Houli was an All Australian in 2019 and is the founder of the Bachar Houli Foundation- helping create Islamic leaders in the community through sport.

Lambert had a brilliant 135-match career at Richmond, after starting as a mature-aged rookie selection (2014 AFL Rookie Draft) via VFL clubs Northern Blues and Williamstown.

A selfless team-player, Lambert will be best remembered for his outstanding form throughout the Club’s premiership winning years.

Lambert, a triple-premiership player, finished second in the Jack Dyer Medal in 2017, third in 2018, and eighth and ninth in the 2019 and 2020 triumphs.

Caddy, a 2017 and 2019 premiership player, played 174 games and booted 164 goals across his 12-year AFL career.

The forward/midfielder spent his final six years at Richmond, having been traded into the Club the same off-season as Dion Prestia and Toby Nankervis.

Caddy booted 46 goals in 2018 to be named in the All-Australian squad of 40 and placed in the top 10 of the Coleman and Jack Dyer Medals.

A consistent goal-kicker, Caddy booted 88 goals from 79 matches at Richmond.

** Please note, triple-premiership defender David Astbury is currently overseas. He will be acknowledged by the Club in front of Richmond fans at a later date.
