The changing face of the Richmond playing group was highlighted in Thursday night’s Anzac Day Eve clash with Melbourne at the MCG.
There were 10 changes to the Tigers’ team from the 2024 Anzac Day Eve match to this year’s encounter.
Out of the side were Liam Baker (moved to West Coast), Shai Bolton (Fremantle), Jack Graham (West Coast), Dylan Grimes (retired), Mykelti Lefau (injured), Dustin Martin (retired), Sam Naismith (retired), Marlion Pickett (retired), Daniel Rioli (Gold Coast) and Tylar Young (injured).
Into the line-up came Campbell Gray, Steely Green, Jonty Faull, Sam Lalor, Tom Lynch, Jack Ross, Jayden Short, Tim Taranto, Luke Trainor and James Trezise.
Gray, Green, Faull, Lalor, Trainor and Trezise played in their first Anzac Day Eve match.
Kamdyn McIntosh is the only Richmond player to have competed in every Anzac Day Eve game since the inaugural one was held in 2015.
