Mykelti Lefau will make his highly anticipated return to football this weekend, when he lines up in Richmond’s VFL clash against North Melbourne on Sunday afternoon.

Lefau hasn’t played since he tore his ACL in the Tigers’ Round 12 AFL match against Geelong last year, but after a strong recovery period, the 26-year-old will return under managed minutes.

“He will play half a game in the VFL, which is so exciting,” senior coach Adem Yze said about Lefau on Thursday.

In further exciting news, VFL captain Lachlan Street has also been named as he returns from an ACL injury of his own.

Along with Lefau and Street, Maurice Rioli, James Trezise, Sam Toner, Harry Scott and Mohammed Yassine all return to the VFL line-up this Sunday.

Out of the side comes Tom Sims, Kane McAuliffe and Kaleb Smith due to AFL commitments, Mate Colina and Josh Smillie via injuries, Joel Garner and Sean Lai.

The first bounce at the Arden Street Oval is set for 2:05pm on Sunday.

All matches in the 2025 Smithy’s VFL and VFLW seasons will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
