Richmond captain Trent Cotchin has been recalled to the line-up for Sunday’s clash with Melbourne at the MCG after overcoming the knee soreness that forced him to miss last Saturday’s victory over Port Adelaide.

But the Tigers’ No. 1 ruckman, Ivan Maric, will miss the match against the Demons due to ankle soreness.

Maric has been joined on the sidelines by Chris Knights, who suffered a season-ending knee injury (ruptured patella tendon), during the 41-point win against the Power, and Shane Tuck, who fractured a bone in his shoulder, and will be out of action for about six weeks.

"It was enormous last week for Ivan to play, considering we were down two rucks," Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said.

"We were really pleased that he got up and played against Port, but we have decided to give him time to recover fully this weekend, and get him right for next week’s match.”

Also included in the 25-player squad for the Round 8 match on Sunday are potential debutant Matt Arnot, Matt Dea, Aaron Edwards, Ty Vickery and Matt White.

The Round 8 Tiger team will be finalised on Friday afternoon.
