Richmond’s famous ‘Tiger Army’ has spiked in numbers, with over 5000 fans joining as part of the Club’s ‘Buy 2014 and get the rest of 2013 free’ campaign, which was launched in July.

After Richmond achieved its 2013 membership target of 60,000 in June this year – a record for the Club - and became only the third club in VFL/AFL history to sign 60,000 members in a season, Richmond launched a membership campaign encouraging fans to join as members for 2014, and receive complimentary access to the remainder of season 2013.

Some 5,005 new members snapped up the offer - an unprecedented number for the time of year.  The general admission access membership included access to up to three Richmond home games, and all-important priority access to purchase tickets to Richmond’s finals games this year.

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said the Club is ever-grateful for the growing support from members of the Richmond Football Club.

“Our loyal Tiger Army has been out in force this year.  The Club has achieved record membership numbers and record crowd attendances at our games. Richmond members love their club, and we’re proud to be able to give back to them by playing finals this year,” he said.

Members who signed up as part of the recent membership campaign will have priority access to purchase tickets to the finals from 11am on Monday, September 2. Existing 2013 members can purchase finals tickets from 9am on Monday, September 2.
