Richmond will field a strong VFL team this Saturday to take on Sandringham in a must-win match for the Tigers.

Finals are still in the equation for the VFL Tigers if they win this weekend’s match and each of the three remaining home-and-away games thereafter.

Sixteen AFL players will take to the field in Saturday’s clash at the ME Bank Centre against St Kilda’s VFL affiliate, Sandringham.

Senior players, Chris Knights and Shaun Grigg will again play in the VFL, with both players performing well at VFL level and are building their case for AFL selection since returning from their injuries.

Orren Stephenson will take most of the ruck responsibility this weekend with Shaun Hampson out with rib soreness.

This weekend’s VFL match is another curtain-raiser to the AFL team’s game against the Giants at the MCG. The VFL match starts at 1pm, giving plenty of time for fans to attend before the senior team take on GWS at 4:40pm. Current Richmond members receive free entry to Richmond VFL matches as a membership benefit.

Fans that can’t attend the game can tune in to Richmond VFL Radio for a live call of the match via Richmond’s smartphone app or online. Fans can also follow @RichmondVFL on Twitter for live scores, stats and updates.
