Richmond star Brett Deledio is positive the Tigers have plenty of scope for improvement in 2015 despite not having landed a big-name recruit during the off-season.

The 27-year-old veteran of 214 games and dual Jack Dyer Medallist envisages a significant boost in midfield depth, in particular.

“Don’t underestimate Taylor Hunt (recruited from Geelong), and we’ve also added a couple of young guys through the draft, who have shown a bit early, so they’ll be exciting for us,” Deledio said on 3AW.

“We saw Brandon Ellis have a really standout year last year, so we’re looking for him to take his game to another level again . . .

“Nick Vlastuin, into his third year, is coming along well.  And we haven’t really seen the best of ‘Reecey’ Conca yet . . .

“There’s three guys that I think can really help us build, but there are plenty of others as well, who we can lean on, hopefully, and take the weight off Trent (Cotchin), ‘Dusty’ (Dustin Martin) and Anthony Miles, who was outstanding in the latter part of the year (2014) through the midfield.”
