Hard-running, young wingman, Kamdyn McIntosh has given himself every chance of making his senior league debut in Richmond’s blockbuster season-opener against Carlton at the MCG.

McIntosh, who was the Tigers’ second pick (No. 31 overall) in the 2012 AFL National Draft, has been hampered by injuries throughout his two years at the Club, but he produced some eye-catching performances during the pre-season series.

The 20-year-old (he turns 21 on April 3) from WA country town Pinjarra, had 17 disposals, took six marks and kicked an impressive goal in the Tigers’ 14-point loss to North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium last Saturday.

“I thought he was good,” said Richmond’s coach Damien Hardwick.

“He’s been a real find for us.

“This is his third year on the list.

“He provides great run and uses the ball really well.

“He’s still learning his way with regards to how we play a little bit because he’s been injured spasmodically for the last two years.

“But he put in another really solid performance.”
