Richmond’s VFL team has been boosted by the inclusions of Reece Conca and Dylan Grimes, for this Saturday’s Round 3 clash with Geelong at the ME Bank Centre.

Both have been on the sidelines with hamstring injuries – Conca hasn’t played since the pre-season competition, while Grimes has missed the past two matches.

The VFL team will also welcome back Matt Thomas from injury, along with Matt McDonough and Matt Arnot, who played in the AFL last weekend.

These inclusions offset the loss of Corey Ellis, Ty Vickery and Ben Lennon, who have been called up to play at AFL level.

Nathan Foley will miss the match through knee soreness, while captain Jaryd Cachia will miss the next two matches through suspension.

The Tigers are coming off a morale-lifting 53-point win over Frankston last weekend, while Geelong had the bye last week, following its Round 1 win.

Saturday’s match is a curtain-raiser to the AFL game between Richmond and Geelong, which kicks off at 1.45pm at the MCG.
