Richmond’s VFL squad will be looking to secure its third win of the season this weekend, when it comes up against the Casey Scorpions on Saturday night.

The Tigers will travel to Casey Fields and will be aiming to bounce back after their narrow loss to Collingwood in Round 5.

Coach Tim Clarke is expecting a strong contest from the Scorpions, who lost to Port Melbourne last week by 23 points.

“We know it’ll be a fierce contest…they’ve got some players who have played really well this year,” he said.

“We really need to bounce back after the weekend’s game. We played some really good footy, but we can’t just keep playing games where we say we played well and we didn’t get the win.

“We’ve got to learn as a group that we have to win these close games and that’s our challenge going forward.”

Richmond’s VFL team has been bolstered by the return of several of the Club’s promising youngsters, including Liam McBean, Todd Elton, Reece McKenzie and Jason Castagna.

David Astbury also returns to add strength to the backline, after he missed last week’s match.

The squad includes 13 AFL senior and rookie listed players.

The game starts at 6.15pm, and fans can follow the action live via Richmond’s VFL Twitter feed.
