Young Richmond key forward Liam McBean has finished in a share of the lead in the VFL’s leading goalkicker award for 2015.

McBean booted 42 goals for the season, tying with Port Melbourne’s Jordan Lisle and Box Hill’s Sam Grimley, to become a joint winner of the ‘Frosty’ Miller Medal.

However, the 21-year-old Tiger played two fewer VFL games (16) than his goalkicking rivals, who played 18 each.

McBean has been called up twice to AFL level so far this season, making his debut in Round 7 and playing another game in Round 9.

In the VFL, he booted multiple goals on 10 occasions, including four bags of five goals.  He went goalless on only two occasions.

Last year, McBean kicked 37 goals in the VFL in 15 appearances, and the previous year notched the same number, in 14 games.
