A clinical, pressure-packed finish from sharp-shooter Sam Lloyd has been voted the second best goal of the 2015 season by Richmond fans.

The Tigers were on the verge of toppling premiership favourites Hawthorn in Round 18 at the MCG, but the Hawks had the momentum, and a comeback seemed imminent.

Richmond was 13 points ahead, and had the Hawks trapped inside their defence, when an errant kick landed in the arms of Anthony Miles.

He dished off a handball under extreme pressure to Kane Lambert, who found Kamdyn McIntosh.  His short kick found Lloyd, deep in the pocket, 45 metres from goal at the city end.

Lloyd evaded Liam Shiels with a sidestep and got his shot away just before being tackled by Brian Lake.

The ball sailed through the goals, clinching a memorable Richmond victory.

The 2015 goal of the year, as voted by Richmond fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Monday October 5.
