Esteemed Adelaide football figure Mark Bickley believes new Richmond mature-age midfield recruit Andrew Moore will thrive at Tigerland.

Bickley, a dual premiership captain with Adelaide, former Crows’ assistant and caretaker coach, and now co-host of radio station 5AA’s weeknight sports show, is confident Moore will make the most of the lifeline thrown to him by the Tigers after being delisted by Port Adelaide, where he played 55 games in six seasons.

Draft flashbacks: Andrew Moore

“I think it’s an excellent pick-up (for Richmond) . . . got him for nothing, bargain-basement price, and I challenge anyway to say that his best footy’s not in front of him,” Bickley said on his 5AA program.

“He is going to be a player.

“He’s got a mature body . . . he is turn-key-go.

“He will make an impact next year, and I’m surprised there wasn’t a lot more interest (in him).”
