1.    He was born on August 12, 1994.

2.    He grew up in the north-east Tasmanian town of George Town, which is situated on the banks of the Tamar River and also was home to the likes of Carlton coach Brendon Bolton, former Melbourne player Brad Green,  Australian cricket spin bowler Xavier Doherty and former world champion cyclist Danny Clark.

3.    He represented Tasmania at the 2013 under-18 championships, was joint winner of the Harrison Medal (best and fairest player in division two), and gained selection as the number one ruckman in the All-Australian team following his impressive efforts throughout that carnival.

4.    He played senior football for North Launceston, before being taken by the Sydney Swans at pick 35 overall in the 2013 National Draft.

5.    He also was a promising junior cricketer – an aggressive left-arm fast bowler – who was a member of the Tasmanian Cricket Academy, and once captured the wicket of young Australian Test player Ashton Agar.

6.    He made his senior debut with Sydney in Round 14, 2015 against Port Adelaide at the SCG.

7.    He has been a top performer as a ruckman/forward for Sydney’s reserve-grade side and was selected in the 2016 NEAFL Team of the Year.

8.    He is renowned for being a fierce competitor, who applies plenty of pressure to opponents, a strong mark, thumping left-foot kick and dangerous around the goals.

9.    He had an AFL career-high 15 disposals (along with 16 hit-outs) in his last game with the Swans, which was their 2016 semi-final win against Adelaide at the SCG.

10.    He was named as an emergency for Sydney in the 2016 Grand Final against the Western Bulldogs.
