Richmond coach Damien Hardwick expects powerhouse midfielder Dustin Martin, who has been nursing groin soreness throughout the week, to be available to take his place in the Tigers’ team for tomorrow night’s big Anzac Day Eve clash with Melbourne at the MCG.

“He’ll train today. We’re pretty confident he’ll be right for the game,” Hardwick said.

“He’s got to tick another box today, but we’ve been very happy how he’s progressed thus far.

“We’ve got Anthony Miles on standby in case he doesn’t come up, but we’re pretty confident that he’ll get through the session today and play.

“We’ll make a call today.”

Hardwick declared that Martin’s groin issue was relatively minor.

“He just felt it a little bit last week (v Brisbane) . . . I think he just had a kick around the corner that hurt him a little bit. But it’s nothing that’s going to be long-term,” Hardwick said.
