Trent Cotchin will chalk up his 100th game as Richmond’s captain in Saturday night’s Round 7 match against Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

The star midfielder and 2012 Brownlow Medallist becomes only the fifth player in Tigerland’s history to reach the 100-game milestone as skipper.

Star ruckman Percy Bentley holds the record for the most games as Richmond captain – 168 from 1932-40 – including the Club’s premierships in 1932 and 1934.

Tiger ‘Immortal’, the great Jack Dyer, is second on the Club’s captaincy longevity list, with 160 games from 1940-49, followed by Des Rowe on 104 games, and then Matthew Knights, 102 games.
