Richmond captain Trent Cotchin collects one of the Tigers' 449 disposals last Friday night

Richmond recorded its highest-ever disposal count in last Friday night’s convincing victory over Adelaide at the MCG.

The Tigers racked up 449 disposals, which was 10 more than their previous all-time best of 439.

Eight Richmond players had 25 disposals or more on the night – Kane Lambert 33, Dustin Martin 30, Shane Edwards 28, Shaun Grigg 28, Dion Prestia 28, Trent Cotchin 27, Jack Higgins 25 and Jayden Short 25.

The most disposals by a team in a match throughout AFL history is 520 by St Kilda against Fremantle in Round 23, 2013 at Etihad Stadium.
